About Study Course
Objective
To master some health sport terminology and to develop communicative competences for operating both in academic and vocational contexts.
Prerequisites
The English language knowledge and skills at the secondary school level.
Learning outcomes
1.Having successfully acquired the study course, students will be able to do the following in English:
- to describe the functions of human body parts and organs
- to list the principles of healthy lifestyle
- to explain how healthy lifestyle affects the human body
- to name sports equipment items and to explain their usage
- to identify signs of sports traumas and give advice on their treatment
- to describe the principles of fitness assessment
- to select appropriate vocabulary in giving exercise instructions
- to select appropriate vocabulary in discussing fitness trends.
1.Having successfully acquired the study course, students will be able to: read professional literature, use appropriate language in communication with clients, write summaries of research articles, prepare and present talks on fitness-related topics.
1.Having successfully acquired the study course, students will be able to practically apply the learned vocabulary in various communicative situations.
