Objective

In the field of recreation qualification at a professional level, to strategically and analytically formulate the essence of recreation, implement and achieve the goals and functions of recreational activities and methods, based on the historical development of society, the social and economic potential of recreational activities, the quality of life of the population, and recreation policy in the country and worldwide.

Prerequisites

In the professional Bachelor’s programme of sports science, students need knowledge of human functioning, the nature of recreation and the role of recreational renewal, which gives students the opportunity to understand the employability and opportunities to be performed for different age stages and levels of preparedness. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students shall formulate the nature, objectives and functions of recreation on the basis of the historical development of society, the social and economic potential of recreational activities, the quality of life of residents, recreational policies and laws and regulations in the country, Europe and the world.

Skills

1.Can justify the nature of recreation and the use of recreational resources in physical, mental and psychoemotional restoration, health improvement.

Competence

1.Students are able to analyse and interpret the nature of recreation, policy documents related to the field of recreation and regulatory enactments.
