About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge of sports injuries, the causes of their occurrence and the most frequent mechanisms in different sports. Promote awareness of risk factors for sports traumatism, recognition of the most common sports injuries and basic principles of first aid. To explain the principles of prevention of sports injuries and their role in organising sports classes and training. Develop the skills to analyse the causes of sports traumatism and apply the principles of injury prevention in the professional activities of a sports teacher and coach.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the structure and functioning of the human body, in particular the support and movement system and the effect of exercise on the body. Understanding the basic principles of organising physical activity and sports training. Ability to analyse the impact of physical loads on an athlete’s health and fitness.
Learning outcomes
1.Explains the classification of sports injuries, the most common causes of traumatism and risk factors in sports classes and the training process.
1.Identifies the most common sports injuries by symptoms and trauma mechanism during sports classes and the training process.
1.Analyse the causes and risk factors of sports traumatism across different sports and assess their impact on an athlete’s health.
