Objective

Promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of swimming teaching and learning, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and compliance with the learning outcomes to be achieved. Enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in swimming, also applying theoretical and practical knowledge in sports theory, anatomy, dynamic anatomy, physiology, biomechanics. Understand and use safety regulations at and on water. Orentient in the terminology of basic swimming and sports swimming in English.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites in dynamic anatomy, physiology, biomechanics. Skills to swim.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Classify, formulate, and justify levels of acquisition of swimming skills: at the initial stage (basic body condition in water, respiratory adjustment); progressive level (use of ease of movement under respiratory control for movement in water); perfect level of swimming skills (automatic execution of swimming movements at respiratory control and adjustment).

Skills

1.Skills to control and regulate: breathing while swimming, body balance in a horizontal position in water.

Competence

1.Ability to plan, manage and individualize the learning process in a variety of swimming exercises and playthings, according to all degrees of education. Formulate and apply basic swimming terminology in English.
