About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with knowledge about the growing relevance of environmental economics and its finance and practical trends in the context of the international business environment and its management.
Prerequisites
Basics of economics, basic knowledge of international business.
Learning outcomes
1.Understanding the growing importance of the environmental economy, its basic principles, key trends.
Understanding current issues of environmental economy in the international business economy.
Knowledge of the key players in the public, private, NGO and transnational sectors in the environmental economy.
Interdisciplinary knowledge to promote the transition to a more sustainable economy and society.
1.Professional skills:
- In group work, discussions and company visits, students' argumentation and critical thinking skills are improved.
- Presentations of papers strengthen students' ability to explain and discuss current issues in environmental economics, its finances and business models in a reasoned manner.
- Able to use technological solutions and make justified and reasoned decisions about environmentally friendly solutions.
General skills:
• Able to discuss and defend their opinions in a reasoned manner, answer questions, make proposals for solving problems.
• Able to independently and responsibly complete assigned tasks, plan their time and meet previously set deadlines.
1.• Able to identify and interpret environmental economic processes and analyze the role and impact of key players in environmental economics.
• Able to apply various environmental economic financial valuation methods.
• Demonstrate theoretical independence to define how environmental and economic principles serve in financial decision-making, and professional readiness to justify a business idea, perform simple financial analysis, taking into account the impact of investments on the environment and society.
