RSU expands range of study courses with new master’s programme in digital health
In this autumn semester, the first master students will begin their studies in the new academic study programme Digital Transformation in Healthcare at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU). This is the first programme of its kind in Latvia, designed to prepare professionals for the digital future of the healthcare sector.
The development of the programme aligns with RSU’s strategy to provide education based on the current needs of society and individuals in the field of healthcare. It focuses on improving the efficiency of the healthcare sector in the context of digital transformation. The programme is part of the study field Healthcare, and it complements the existing programmes within this field at the RSU Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences, while introducing a new interdisciplinary perspective.
Digital transformation is not just about implementing technology – it is a shift in mindset about healthcare management. Our programme will help develop professionals who can not only plan for this change but also manage it strategically.
Assoc. Prof. Daiga Behmane, Programme Director
