RSU demonstrates the potential of cooperation to the Foreign Ministers of Albania and Latvia
On Wednesday, 9 July, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre hosted the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania Igli Hasani and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Baiba Braže. The visit took place within the framework of the official visit of the Minister of Albania to Latvia, coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.
Minister Hasani was accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to Latvia Mimoza Halimi, Director of the Department for European Bilateral Cooperation Mamica Toska and the Minister's Adviser Reserta Mataj.
During the meeting, RSU Vice-Rector for Administration and Development Toms Baumanis gave the guests an insight into the activities of the University, highlighting the share of international students and academic staff, the importance of the network of foreign clinical centres, as well as RSU's priority - research and the growing number of scientific publications. Associate Professor Vladimirs Voicehovskis presented the idea of the RSU Military Medicine Course, its current content and development plans, and highlighted the close cooperation of the University with its Ukrainian counterparts.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the Medical Education Technology Centre, where RSU specialists demonstrated the state-of-the-art teaching facilities and technologies used in the training of students.
