Objective

Promote students’ understanding of the psychological, social, and mental health aspects of spirituality and religiosity in the context of different religions and schools of spirituality.

Prerequisites

General psychology, personality psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Compares the concepts of “spirituality” and “religiosity”, discusses the common and different characteristics of the two concepts.

Skills

1.The historical, social and psychological aspects of the chosen school of religion or spirituality shall be collected, analysed and evaluated.

Competence

1.Based on theories of religious psychology and scientific research, the social, psychological and health aspects of spirituality and religious manifestations in the personal and professional context shall be expertly evaluated.
