Objective

Promote the acquisition of knowledge of the mechanisms of action of pharmacological groups of medicinal products and their possibilities for use in the event of diseases. Promote awareness of rational pharmacotherapy to achieve preventive and therapeutic objectives. Promote the acquisition of knowledge of drug interactions, side effects and significant contraindications under polypharmacy conditions.

Prerequisites

Pharmacology, physiology, pharmacognosia, pharmaceutical chemistry, medical chemistry.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will be able to identify medicines indications, contraindications depending on the presence of symptoms and diseases.

Skills

1.Select and use the most appropriate medicines in specific clinical situations.

Competence

1.Will be able to analyse the available information on the medicines, its safe use in the case of the particular disease.
