On 12 September, the Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) community celebrated our university's 75th anniversary Brothers Kokari Hall in Mežaparks.
Over the past 75 years, RSU has become one of the driving forces behind Latvia's growth, providing high-quality knowledge, developing skills and cultivating values that form the foundation for a better future. RSU and its values, which are passed down from generation to generation, unite us. We are #GenRSU – a community that inspires, drives change, and builds a sustainable future. Each of us is part of this story of growth, courage, and responsibility.
Speeches and personal stories
The celebration brought together a wide range of participants – guests of honor, members of staff, alumni, current students, cooperation partners, and representatives of the administration.
The guests were addressed by RSU Rector Professor Aigars Pētersons, Chair of Council Reinis Bērziņš, and Latvian Minister of Health Hosams Abu Meri. Their speeches highlighted the university's achievements, and the speakers shared personal stories that highlight the importance that RSU has ha don individual life paths.

The launch of the book about RSU, created to mark the university's 75th anniversary, took place during the event. The book is now available for purchase at the RSU store.

Visual and musical highlights
The celebrations were visually enhanced by sand art created live on a large screen by a sand artist throughout the evening. Guests were also treated to a musical fountain light show outside.
