At the start of the new semester, the RSU Business Incubator is launching a new event series: the Innovators Club. The events will bring together inspiring conversations, networking opportunities and honest stories about entrepreneurship and innovation.
Once a month, the Innovators Club will welcome entrepreneurs, investors and other experienced professionals. They will share not only their greatest achievements, but also the mistakes, difficult decisions and setbacks that often teach us more than success stories do.
The first guest will be Aksels Zingulis, one of the founders of Rocketgrip. The company develops grips for sports equipment, and its first product was a glue-free, heat-shrink grip for hockey sticks. It can be shaped to fit the player’s hand, providing a more secure grip while protecting hockey gloves from the damage often caused by traditional stick tape.
Aksels will talk about how the idea originated, the company’s first steps and the process of developing the product, as well as the decisions that helped Rocketgrip grow. During the event, participants will be able to ask questions and learn how a real-world problem can be turned into a product with international potential.
The Innovators Club is open to everyone, including university and secondary school students, researchers, entrepreneurs, innovation enthusiasts and anyone who is still considering developing an idea of their own.
After the conversation, participants are invited to stay for informal networking, meet other active and curious people, speak with the guest and perhaps find like-minded partners for their next project. Snacks will also be provided.
