Functions of the department

The RSU Finance Department cooperates with all RSU structural units, state institutions, and private individuals to achieve its goals and fulfil its tasks.

The goal of the Finance Department is to implement the financial management policy and strategy of Rīga Stradiņš University in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia governing financial management.

Main areas of activity

• To carry out financial accounting in accordance with regulatory requirements;
• To develop a balanced RSU budget and monitor its implementation;
• To use financial resources efficiently in compliance with legal regulations;
• To cooperate with external partners on financial matters and provide support for RSU’s structural units in financial matters;
• To provide financial information to RSU management to support decision-making.
