How did you draw up your Learning Agreement?

I put the Learning Agreement together myself with the help of Erasmus office and Dean's office at RSU. They confirmed if the courses I wanted to take are possible. Everything was very chaotic at first, but I managed!

How is the study process organized in the receiving university? What is different compared to RSU?

The study process at Ljubljana is organized in blocks, similarly to RSU, but they are larger and contain more subjects than the ones in Riga. For example, neurology in Riga is 6 ECTS whereas in Ljubljana it is 10 ECTS. So it also covered neurosurgery and rehabilitation as part of the Neurology course.

Also, the semester in Ljubljana starts in the beginning of October and there is no clear cut off to the spring semester, but as the semester at RSU begins already in the beginning of February, I had to take 3 courses in September from RSU, otherwise I would not have had enough ECTS by the end of semester.

What were the living conditions?

The living conditions were great! Of course, there were many restrictions due to corona virus, but it is beautiful city and country that has a lot to offer.

Did the Erasmus+ grant cover the living expenses?

Yes mainly, but I think it was sufficiant only because there were not many leisure activities available at the time.

Your advice and recommendations for others choosing this city for their mobility

I would choose this city and country again, especially because it is not one of the top picks for many others. The city is small, so everything can be easily reached, but it is still a capital city so you have everything that capital cities generally offer. The architecture and city park are beautiful and university's faculties and buildings are distributed all over the city.

Other cities and places in the country are very nice as well; you have mountains to go hiking or skiing and there is a short coast line of 46km. There is a special menu for students in most restaurants and the maximum you pay for a meal is 4,31 euros.

The best memory or experience from Erasmus+ mobility

The city itself, the trips into nature and coast, the house I was living in with 8 other eramus students.

The most valuable realization or lesson you have learned

It is beautiful city and country that has a lot to offer.
