Publications on security and defence policy in renowned European scientific journals, guest lectures and in-depth discussions at universities and think tanks, and a well-established, global international relations network – these are the benefits that Māris Andžāns, Assistant Professor at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), brought home from Washington, DC. This experience was made possible thanks to the Fulbright Scholar Program for researchers granted by the US government.
When we met at the beginning of the year the Rīga Stradiņš University International Student Association (RSU ISA) had big plans for the coming year. The current global crisis and changes to the study process have naturally affected the association. ISA President Hannah Katharina Schöberl and Head of Academic Affairs Max Zwartjes talk about how the changes have affected them on both a personal level, and as representatives for the international student body at RSU.
According to international forecasts student mobility will decrease worldwide due to the current epidemiological situation, limitations to international travel, psychological barriers and economic opportunities.
Starting from 19 May, RSU Sports Club facilities are available for students and employees. Visits are, however, only by prior appointment.
Taking into account the state of emergency in the country until 9 June, the RSU Sports Club has outlined new rules that will allow students to visit RSU Sports Club.
