Open University for Ukrainian Civilians
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Open University allows Ukrainian civilians to enrol in several study programmes offered by the University for free, or to audit individual study courses. The programmes are: Medicine, Dentistry, International Business and Start-up Entrepreneurship, Health Management, Social Work with Children and Youth, International Governance and Diplomacy, and Pharmacy (in Latvian).
Applications to 2025 Spring semester study courses open on 13 January.
For courses starting in February: submit applications by 24 January 2025.
For courses starting in March or later: submit applications 10 working days before the beginning of the selected study course.
For courses starting in March or later: submit applications 10 working days before the beginning of the selected study course.
Application process
- In order to attend one of the courses listed above for free, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- temporary protection status, as evidenced by a temporary residence permit and an identity card;
- asylum-seeker status, as evidenced by an asylum-seeker's identity document or a foreigner's identity card;
- refugee status, as evidenced by a permanent residence permit and a travel document which also serves as an identity document;
- alternative status, as evidenced by a temporary residence permit and an identity document and a travel document.
- During the application process, you must certify that you have been granted one of the above mentioned statuses and send us the documents specified.
