DeCrises
Description
The project 'EU Decarbonisation in Times of Crises: Exploring Social Innovations and Enhancing an Equitable Twin Transition' (DeCrises) tackles the challenges of the European Union's twin transition in climate and digital spheres, aiming for an equitable shift towards carbon neutrality by 2050. Through four case studies, the project identifies gaps in the current Multilevel Governance (MLG) framework and proposes solutions to enhance citizen participation and social innovation. Key objectives include developing a robust MLG implementation strategy, understanding community-led initiatives, and improving regional collaboration. By promoting a more inclusive approach to governance, DeCrises offers policy recommendations to strengthen democratic practices in the EU and facilitate a fair transition to a green future.
