Aim

The aim of the project is an in-depth study and analysis of microbial translocation markers and the study of the differences in variability of intestinal microbiome in both HIV and HCV-monoinfected patients and HIV/HCV-coinfected patients, as well as potential mutual relations between microbial translocation markers and microbiome variability which could provide additional options of affecting or stopping the spread of the virus by affecting any of the specific stages of pathogenesis, thus improving the clinical course of the disease and treatment outcomes.
