Description

The aim of this project is to assess feasibility and evaluate the effectiveness of a personalized, multidisciplinary, evidence-based rehabilitation program for persons with tumors in central nervous system, designed for the acute hospital setting, following the Guidance of the Medical Research Council on Developing and Evaluating Complex Interventions. To evaluate the feasibility and crucial elements for effectiveness study a pilot study will be conducted using prospective one-group pre-test/post-test design. To evaluate clinical effectiveness and Program implementation costs two prospective quantitative studies will be conducted. The designs of the studies will be chosen based on identified quality and outcome variables. Results of the project will improve effectiveness of care, optimize costs and decrease adverse effects of following disability thus, improving public health.
