Basics and Methodology of Volleyball (LSPA_219)
About Study Course
Objective
To promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of the teaching and learning of volleyball, taking into account individual opportunities and conformity of students with the learning outcomes to be achieved, as well as to enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the playing of volleyball and organisation of student competitions with facilitated or changed regulations.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic principles of human anatomy and physiology.Understanding the basic principles of sports pedagogy and the organisation of the learning process.A knack for planning and conducting simple physical activity classes.Basic knowledge of sports training theory and load dosing principles.
Learning outcomes
1.Describes the origin, history and development of the volleyball game in Latvia and the world.
1.Plan and conduct volleyball exercises and evaluate their acquisition in accordance with educational standards and the requirements of the field of learning.
1.Develop an individualised and differentiated volleyball learning process according to learners’ needs and abilities.
