About Study Course
Objective
Acquisition of basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in clinical care, acquisition of skills in the execution of procedures.
Prerequisites
General pathology, pathological physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology with virology and parasitology.
Learning outcomes
1.Students will know the objectives, indications and contraindications of the skills included in the study course. Student will be able to describe and name the stages (steps) of skills included in the study course in clinical care. Students acquire knowledge of the basic tasks and duties of professional activity in the clinical care of patients.
1.Student is able to successfully demonstrate the performance of the skills included in the study course on the dummy. Within the framework of the study course, the student develops and develops the skills necessary for ensuring quality and safe care. The student is able to apply theoretical knowledge in clinical practice, perform basic care procedures, assess general health status, observe basic principles of infection control in patient care, perform patient hygiene procedures, perform patient positioning and transfer, identify vital signs, be able to perform gastrointestinal elimination procedures of the clinical procedure – enema, intestinal stoma care, ensure nutrition and fluid admissions, be able to administer a nasogastric probe (NGZ) and basic care principles, and perform patient feeding through NGZ using different types of nutrition, perform oxygen therapy using different types of oxygen mask.
1.Student is able to make a reasoned decision on the necessity of a specific clinical procedure and is able to successfully implement it by verifying the effectiveness of the manipulation performed.
