About Study Course
Objective
To provide acquisition and upgrade of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in compliance with the requirements of cardiac surgery professional regulations, in order to get medical doctor prepared for quialifying as cardiac surgeon by training in thoracic diseases and treatment concepts and options thereof.
Learning outcomes
1.Theoretical concepts of thoracic surgery:
• anatomy and pathophysiology of lungs, pleura, bronchi, oesophagus and chest wall;
• techniques of diagnostics, instruments used in thoracic surgery, surgical approach in emergencies;
• providing urgent aid in emergency;
• specifics of postoperative patient management.
1.• to correctly evaluate patient general condition;
• to properly examine the patient;
• to be able to do pleurocentesis;
• to be able to establish pleural cavity drainage.
1.To provide primary and professional emergency aid to patients with thoracic diseases.
