Classification and Assessment of Functioning, Disability and Health (REK_257)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with knowledge and skills about the structure and application of the WHO International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in rehabilitation practice, in order to promote evidence-based and regulatory framework-based professional practice and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Prerequisites
Anatomy, physiology, introduction to speciality.
Learning outcomes
1.Able to explain the concepts of functioning and disability, describe the structure of the WHO ICF, define the basic terms of the ICF and describe the practical applications of the ICF in rehabilitation practice.
1.Able to analyse simple clinical cases using ICF basic principles, apply appropriate ICF category codes, explain the basics of functioning evaluation, and evaluate a person’s functioning using some measurements.
1.Able to analyse and interpret the results of functioning evaluation, formulate and justify their role in the rehabilitation process.
