About Study Course
Objective
Introduce students to basics of consumer rights protection. Facilitate the students’ ability to independently analyse consumer rights protection issues, while simultaneously explaining the theoretical basis and foundations of consumer rights protection, focusing on current issues of consumer rights protection nowadays.
Prerequisites
Introduction to Law. Theory of Law. Introduction to Civil Law
Learning outcomes
1.As a result of the completion of the course, students acquire knowledge of national and European Union regulatory enactments and international law regulations in the field of consumer protection and the findings of case law in the application of legal norms.
1.On completion of the study course, students will have acquired skills to analyse and evaluate basic issues of consumer rights protection.
Ability to solve practical tasks in the field of the consumer rights protection.
Ability to evaluate and identify breaches of consumer rights and find appropriate solutions.
Communication skills:
Ability to communicate on the consumer rights protection issues.
Ability to communicate on a topic, using the appropriate terminology.
Advanced learning skills:
The skills of selecting and evaluating literature sources and legislation on the particular topic.
Ability to apply laws and regulations related to the study course acquired.
1.On completion of the study course, students will be able to carry out tasks related to consumer rights, to use knowledge and skills for professional and personal development. Application of legal provisions not only “mechanically” but in line with public interests and priorities, thereby synthesizing the skills in working with regulatory framework and the comprehension of the law in general.
