Empowering students to understand the most fundamental aspects of modern consumer protection. Promote students’ skills to independently analyse and apply consumer protection laws, understand modern consumer rights developments today.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of legal theories.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of the completion of the course, students acquire knowledge of the regulation of national and European Union regulatory enactments in the field of consumer protection and the findings of case law in the application of legal norms.
Skills
1.By taking the course, students acquire the skills to analyse and evaluate consumer rights issues.
Competence
1.Can interpret and apply both European Union and Latvian national legislation.
