Objective

Acquire knowledge of the concept of covert cooperation, the role and nature of legal basis in the process of operational activity. Acquire knowledge of involvement in covert cooperation, aspects of management, control and the termination of the covert cooperation. Raise the problems of legal and practical nature of the covert cooperation and find solutions to them.

Prerequisites

Operational Activities Law, Criminal Process, Criminal Law, Law on Official Secrets, Subjects of Operational Activity, Process of Operational activity.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students acquire knowledge of regulation of different covert cooperation in Latvia and other EU Member States, as well as outside the EU. Current problems in organising cooperation.

Skills

1.Ability to evaluate application of different forms of support in operational cooperation.

Competence

1.Skills to choose the most optimal forms of covert cooperation.
