Objective

Train a doctor of infectious diseases, who is able to diagnose contagious skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases and differentiate them from polyetiological diseases and skin diseases of unknown origin.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.The resident will acquire knowledge of pathogenesis mechanisms of skin diseases, clinical features, diagnostic and therapeutic principles, skin lesions in cases of systemic viruses, bacterial and fungal diseases and changes in skin in cases of liver diseases.

Skills

1.Upon successful completion of the study course, the residents will be able to use technologies applied in medicine, carry out patient examination and treatment independently. They will be able to prescribe screening tests for specific laboratory diagnosis and differential diagnosis of sexually transmitted infectious diseases, to analytically evaluate the data obtained as a result of the examination and to make a diagnosis.

Competence

1.The resident uses the knowledge acquired during the study process in the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of skin and sexually transmitted diseases, recognises and differentiates infectious diseases from other pathologies.
