Hemorrhagic Stroke (RIR_012)
About Study Course
Objective
Ensure acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills applying interventional radiology in treatment of hemorrhagic stroke.
Learning outcomes
1.On successful course completion residents will know the etiology and pathogenesis, clinical symptoms of hemorrhagic stroke. Differences between hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke. Radiological diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke (CT, DSA, MRA, CTA). The most commonly used classifications (Hunt-Hess, GKS, MRS). Residents will be familiar with the indications and contraindications for endovascular treatment of hemorrhagic stroke. Technologies used in endovascular treatment. Indications for drug therapy and the most important drugs used. Residents will be familiar with the materials and devices required for the treatment of hemorrhagic stroke (e.g., guiding catheters, microcatheters, microstats, stents, coils, etc.), as well as the possible complications of invasive treatment (dissection, perforation) and their treatment.
1.Perform endovascular treatment of hemorrhagic stroke.
1.On successful course completion the resident will be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of hemorrhagic stroke, will be aware of possible complications, will be able to diagnose and treat them early.
