About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in infectious diseases, according to the requirements of the narcology specialty.
Learning outcomes
1.• To recognize the peculiarities of the manifestations of infectious diseases in drug users
• Describe the specific prevention of blood-borne infectious diseases
• Recognize and differentiate the clinical manifestations of alcohol-induced liver toxic damage
• Know the basic principles of hepatitis C treatment
• Formulate the basic principles of prescribing ARV therapy
• Explain the interaction of ARV therapy with long-term pharmacotherapy medications.
1.• Recognize and prescribe screening examinations for the specific laboratory diagnosis of blood-borne infectious diseases
• Recognize the clinical picture of viral hepatitis and know the diagnostic methods
• Outline and provide emergency aid for toxic liver damage
• Explain health disorders and possible assistance measures to the patient in an understandable way.
• Recognize and classify the clinical symptoms of blood-borne infections and sequentially reflect them in the medical documentation.
1.• Organize consultative support in the care of drug users with HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C
• Know the specific preventive measures, diagnostic criteria and basic principles of treatment of blood-borne infectious diseases
• Manage and organize consultations, further care in specialized institutions
• Be aware of the limits of your professional competence.
