Innovation of the Training Process in Sport (LSPA_633)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with in-depth knowledge and skills in sports science, highlighting the latest theoretical achievements and their practical application in the periodisation, renewal and high performance provision of training at both national and international level. The course offers a comprehensive analytical understanding in training periodisation, focusing on developing talent and achieving maximum performance in youth, elite and professional individual and team sports in Latvia. Participants will learn how to develop, develop, develop and analyse different training and recovery methods by applying these competences in training and competitions.
Prerequisites
In the academic Master’s programme of sports science, students need knowledge of aspects of human functioning, aspects of the training process, which enable students to understand the activity to be performed, in the context of training or competitions. Knowledge of English is required at a sufficient level to read industry literature and guide course terminology in English.
Learning outcomes
1.Students will demonstrate in-depth and analytically reflective knowledge of the theoretical aspects of the innovation of the training process.
1.Develop and implement training periodisation plans, analyse performance data, assess workout loads.
1.Students will be able to independently develop, analyse and develop innovative patterns of training and renewal within the scope of their competence, adapting them to athletes with different levels of preparedness, sports and disciplines.
