Objective

The course aims to provide a preliminary knowledge of Italian private law, starting from the study of the sources and their impact on the constitutional system, with particular attention to consumer protection. During the course the Italian legal civil institutions will be examined.

Prerequisites

National civil law.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.On completion of the study course, students will be able to: 1. Explain the most important concepts of the Italian Private Law. 2. Describe the key institutes of the Italian Private Law. 3. To understand the influence of European Union law on the discipline of national private law 4. Explain the legal actions to be carried out by a lawyer in a particular case.

Skills

1.On completion of the study course, students will be able to: 1. Sum up the most essential legal information. 2. Analyse a practical case. 3. Use the terminology of the Italian Private Law. 4. Present and defend their point of view on a specific issue.

Competence

1.On completion of the study course, students will be able to: 1. Use the acquired knowledge in practice. 2. Interpret legal norms. 3. Logically formulate their opinion about the case in discussion. 4. Judge the particular legal case.
