Laboratory Diagnostics (REN_019)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide medical residents with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the methods used in laboratory diagnostics and experimental research projects. Understanding the execution and interpretation of various experimental examinations and results, according to the standards of molecular biology, in order to prepare the doctor to purposefully read and understand published experimental and clinical studies.
Learning outcomes
1.To theoretically and practically understand clinical and experimental laboratory investigations and related endocrine pathology.
1.To understand the operational principles of large laboratory analysers (nephelometry, turbidimetry, etc.).
To learn to accurately interpret laboratory test results: blood count, biochemical indicators, coagulation and thrombosis indicators, hormonal indicators, urinalysis.
To be able to evaluate various molecular biological examinations related to endocrine pathology. To theoretically understand the principles of conducting these experiments.
1.Ability to independently apply the acquired knowledge in the use of laboratory examination methods in case of endocrine diseases.
Ability to navigate and interpret laboratory data from experimental and clinical studies published in the scientific literature.
