Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in medical emergency assistance in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of neurosurgery.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Resident possesses knowledge on aetiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, diagnostics, differential diagnostics of life-threatening acute pathologies, as well as of principles of application of diagnostic and medical methods in emergency medical assistance.

Skills

1.Ability to provide emergency medical assistance to patients with an acute and life-threatening pathology.

Competence

1.The doctor, using the acquired knowledge and skills, is able to independently recognize and diagnose a life-threatening acute pathology, evaluate it, if necessary, involving the relevant specialist.
