About Study Course
Objective
Promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of teaching and learning of movement toys and games, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and compliance with the learning outcomes to be achieved, as well as enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in modelling and regulation of variants of movement toys and games with changed regulations.
Prerequisites
Completion of the study course requires basic knowledge in sports pedagogy, sports theory and methodology, as well as in human anatomy and physiology. Understanding the specific development characteristics of children and young people and the basic principles for organising physical activity are also desirable.
Learning outcomes
1.The student explains and describes the diversity of movement toys and games, the types of classification, history and development in Latvia and the world
1.The student plans movement games and games for children of different ages by preparing a methodologically substantiated 3-play or game contour that conforms to the national pre-school education guidelines, basic and secondary education standards.
1.The student plans and implements age-appropriate and interdisciplinary movement games and games, integrating different learning areas demonstrated in the Conspectus and practical management.
