Objective

Completing this study course, students will get knowledge about the latest nutritional recommendations for infants and children. Students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but will be able to compile nutrition data and evaluate the nutrition of infants and children and their adequacy. Will be able to provide recommendations for the correction of healthy children and children's nutrition in case of various diseases / illnesses (malnutrition, obesity, food allergies, celiac disease, oncology, other chronic diseases).

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Understands the differences of nutrition for infants, toddlers and children. Understands the peculiarities of nutrition in case of various diseases and disorders.

Skills

1.Able to apply theoretical knowledge in appropriate dietary recommendations in a way that is understandable to the patient or parents/carers. Orient themselves in literature sources related to infant and child nutrition.

Competence

1.Able to assess the patient and apply appropriate dietary recommendations.
