About Study Course
Objective
Acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills about occupational diseases at the level required for internists.
Learning outcomes
1.Upon completion of occupational disease course resident is familiar with the causes of common occupational diseases, and their relationship with the patient's occupation and length of exposure to the potential harmful factor, disease presentation variants, specific diagnostic tests, incapacity criteria, treatment options.
1.Upon completion of occupational disease course resident has acquired the skills to recognize the professional risk types and features, to perform investigations required to refer the patient to an occupational disease specialist care.
1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills resident will be able to define a diagnosis, make differential diagnosis, interpret test data, develop a structured treatment and rehabilitation plan, logically define and explain the treatment objectives, assess its effectiveness, side effects.
