Objective
To provide theoretical knowledge in the pathogenesis of oral diseases as well as practical skills in biopsy assessment.
Prerequisites
Cell biology, anatomy, histology, genetics, normal physiology, biochemistry, pathology.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.The pathogenesis of human diseases, including general pathological processes and
special pathology with the emphasis on specific disease entities.
Skills
1.Application of biopsies, and laboratory assesment (blood tests, biochemical tests, urine
analyses) in clinical diagnostics
Competence
1.Ability to assess and analyse clinical situations in theoretical models, using laboratory tests and data of tissue investigation: diagnostics and explanation of pathogenesis in a particular patient, using clinically relevant tests
