Objective

The objective of this course is to ensure the knowledge in pathology for students lacking sufficient knowledge and/or skills of critical thinking. The course includes of general and special pathological physiology – pathogenesis of some pathological conditions and diseases.

Prerequisites

Cell biology, human anatomy, histology, embryology, genetics, physiology and biochemistry.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

As a result of studying the course, the student will know and be able to explain the nature, development, causes, consequences and outcomes of various diseases and general pathological processes.

Skills

In clinical tasks, the student will be able to identify the most common pathologies, evaluate their pathogenesis in a reasoned manner.
