Objective
To train residents for work in pathology centers and departments with the aim of determining precise diagnosis of the infectious disease in biopsy, operation and autopsy material.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of modern classifications of infectious diseases, their morphogenesis and morphological diagnostic possibilities in Latvia.
Skills
1.Diagnostic skills for macroscopic and microscopic most common infection disease pathologies in the operation and biopsy materials using routine, histochemical and immunohistochemical visualization methods.
Competence
1.Decision to make a diagnose after the investigation of infection disese affected tissue material.
