Objective

To provide the residents of the specialty in dermatology, venereology with training in understanding of the nature of physical therapy methods, their indications and contraindications in relation to the specialty of dermatology, venereology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Demonstrates the acquisition and development of in-depth understanding for the following topics:
1. Physical therapy methods in dermatology.
2. Phototherapy and photochemical therapy.
3. Darsonvalization.
4. Therapeutic baths and spa therapy.
5. Therapeutic massage.
6. Ultrasound.
7. Laser therapy.
8. Physical therapy methods used in treatment of scleroderma.
9. Methods used in treatment of psoriasis.
10. Physical therapy methods used in treatment of dermatitis and eczema.

Skills

1.Phototherapy and photochemical therapy, darsonvalization, ultrasound - methods, contraindications.

Competence

1.After obtaining the certificate to be competent in working as a dermatologist and venereologist, to apply the knowledge acquired during the study process, to recognize and differentiate the skin and sexually transmitted diseases from other pathologies.
