Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills according to the requirements of the specialty of a geriatrician and related to rehabilitation of geriatric patients.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.Rehabilitation principles, necessity, possibilities. Functional condition assessment. Assistive technologies and housing adaptation possibilities. Importance of physical activity.
Skills
1.-Usage of the functional condition assessment tools and interpretation of results.
-Useof gait and fall risk assessment tools.
- Drawing up of a patient’s rehabilitation plan and discussion in a team (geriatrician, rehabilitation specialist, physiotherapist, etc.)
Competence
1.-Is able to develop a patient’s rehabilitation plan.
-Recommendation of assistive technologies.
