Objective
to ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills according to the requirements of the surgery speciality regulations with an aim to prepare doctors for certification in surgeon’s speciality according to the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.- Basics, principles, indications and equipment of diagnostics of US images,
- US diagnostics of chronic surgical diseases,
- US diagnostics of acute surgical diseases.
Skills
1.- to select a US diagnostic method for a surgical patient in a proper way,
- to interpret US examination data of abdominal and endocrine organs.
Competence
1.To interpret and use in practice US examination data in surgical patients.
