Objective

To promote learning about physical exercise, its effects on the human body, its role in strengthening health of people of all ages and genders.

Prerequisites

Acquired knowledge in anatomy, physiology, sports physiology, biomechanics, as well as movement skills in gymnastics, basic gymnastic movements

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Will know the means and methods of implementing a healthy lifestyle, and the role of physical activity in health promotion.

Skills

1.Be able to identify and critically evaluate visually observable changes in a person’s health status, for example in the musculoskeletal system, as well as in the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.

Competence

1.Is able to purposefully select appropriate assessment criteria for each individual and formulate clear training goals tailored to individual development needs, using and navigating terminology in both Latvian and English.
