Training on Research Impact for Academic Staff

  • A brief introduction to the evolving landscape of research impact, with a focus on societal impact and becoming an impactful researcher
  • Strategies for planning research impact and engagement. Two interactive activities:
    • defining personal impact ambitions
    • identifying potential beneficiaries and engagement strategies
  • Open plenary discussion and Q&A session

Training on Research Impact for Administrative Staff

10:00–11:30

  • Introduction to research impact and its importance, with a focus on supporting researchers in achieving impact
  • The role of research managers in facilitating and enabling research impact and engagement. Discussion on specific tools and methods for different contexts
  • Open plenary discussion and Q&A session
The online workshops are designed to foster open dialogue. Participants will be invited to ask questions, share experiences, and engage in discussions. In the academic staff workshop, breakout sessions will facilitate deeper discussions and collaborative activities.

Expert

Dr. Giovanna Lima – A PROSCI-certified change management practitioner specializing in research, education, and societal impact. She is currently the Program Manager for the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and has held key roles in promoting research impact at institutions such as Erasmus University Rotterdam and Trinity College Dublin.
