On 20 December at 18:00, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) mixed choir Rīga invites you to a concert “Pēc vienkāršības noilgojies prāts” (A mind longing for simplicity) at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church (2 Anglikāņu iela).

The choir Rīga traditionally creates its winter concert programme as a musical kaleidoscope, reflecting on the achievements of the past year and looking ahead to the future, while maintaining the warm and bright atmosphere characteristic of the Christmas season.

The concert will feature compositions by this year’s anniversary celebrants Uldis Stabulnieks and Arvo Pärt, as well as music by Jānis Zālītis, Raimonds Pauls, Georgs Pelēcis, Rihards Dubra, Madars Kalniņš, Ēriks Eglītis, and other composers.

The concert programme has been prepared by conductors Evita Taranda and Zane Zilberte, with Uģis Meņģelis as choirmaster. Pianist Māris Žagars will accompany the concert.
