During two webinars we will find out more about implementation of FAIR principles in everyday work of a researcher. This will give introduction to some of the most significant aspects to make your research data FAIR.

First session

In the first session, we will get an introduction to data discovery, access, interoperability, and analysis across jurisdictions and borders. We will look at the landscape of European data management and discuss the structures emerging in the domain, e. g. European Open Science Cloud, European Health Data Space, and how we as researchers can take advantage of the best practices in the domain to enable gold-standard research data management.

gary_saunders.jpgGary Saunders is a Data Director at EATRIS (European infrastructure for translational medicine). He is responsible for leading the EATRIS data strategy over the next scientific programme (2023–2026). As part of this work Gary will lead the EATRIS core data team and work with key data focussed initiatives such as the Horizon Europe Mission Areas, European Open Science Cloud, and the 1+ Million Genomes.

Second session

16:30–18:00 @ Zoom

In the second session, we will cover different systems, services, and open formats available for data processing in medical and health sciences, as well as gain insight in the world of ontologies and schemas to make research data interoperable. We will learn how to apply them to different types of research data, in order to make data re-usable for other researchers.

ronald_cornet.jpgRonald Cornet is an associate professor at the Public Health Research Institute of Amsterdam UMC – University of Amsterdam. He is also participating in numerous research projects, as well as member of organisations in the field of FAIR data, for example, chair of the Executive Board of GO-FAIR.
