The PrustyLab and the Institute of Microbiology and Virology, Riga Stradiņš University, in collaboration with Singleron, are pleased to invite researchers, students, and academic staff to a one-day workshop dedicated to single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and its rapidly growing applications in modern biology and medical research.

Single-cell technologies are transforming the way we study complex biological systems by enabling the analysis of cellular heterogeneity, rare cell populations, dynamic cellular states, and disease-associated molecular signatures at unprecedented resolution. This workshop will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about the principles, workflows, and research applications of scRNA-seq, and to explore how these approaches can be integrated into ongoing and future projects across diverse fields of life sciences and biomedicine.

Workshop highlights

• Introduction to the fundamentals of single-cell RNA sequencing
• Overview of current single-cell workflows and technologies
• Applications of scRNA-seq in basic biology, translational research, and medicine
• Discussion of how single-cell approaches can support research in immunology, infection biology, cancer, neuroscience, regenerative biology, and other biomedical fields

The workshop will also offer participants an opportunity for hands-on exposure to selected practical steps of the single-cell workflow, including cell loading onto chips, allowing attendees to better appreciate critical considerations in scRNA-seq sample preparation.

In addition to the main workshop program, there will be an opportunity for one-to-one meetings with colleagues from Singleron for researchers who would like to discuss their individual projects, study ideas, or potential applications of single-cell technologies in greater detail.
