The Latvian Gastroenterology Congress is one of the most significant and long-standing medical congresses in the Baltic region. First held at the beginning of this century, it has since become a well-established tradition within both the Latvian and international medical communities. The congress is organized biennially and traditionally gathers between 800 and 1,100 healthcare professionals from Latvia and abroad.

This year, the congress is expected to bring together at least 800 specialists from various fields, including gastroenterology, internal medicine, family medicine, surgery, oncology, and others. The programme features leading Latvian experts as well as renowned international speakers and moderators. The International Scientific Committee includes prominent professionals and opinion leaders from Latvia and other countries, ensuring a high-level, globally relevant, and scientifically robust programme. The agenda includes plenary and section sessions, as well as several parallel satellite symposia, covering the latest advances in disease management and therapeutic approaches. An industry exhibition will also take place, presenting the newest technologies, diagnostic tools, and treatment options.

The event is organized by the Digestive Diseases Society and the Gastroenterology Support Society in cooperation with the Latvian Gastroenterologists Association and other leading professional medical societies in Latvia.
