Getting to the university sustainably
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) encourages students, staff, and visitors to use sustainable modes of transportation whenever possible when travelling to and from campus.
Bicycle racks
To make cycling to RSU safer and more convenient, the university is gradually expanding its network of bicycle racks and installing covered racks, based on demand from the university community.
All university buildings, including Liepāja branch, are equipped with bicycle racks. Over the past 15 years, RSU has also developed roofed bicycle racks at several locations:
- RSU Institute of Stomatology at 20 Dzirciema iela
- RSU main building at 16 Dzirciema iela
- RSU Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology at 9 Kronvalda bulvāris
- RSU Pharmaceutical Education and Research Centre at 21 Konsula iela
- RSU Student Hostel at 17 Mārupes iela
- RSU Student Hostel at 5 Dārza iela
Covered bicycle racks are also available on the premises of the Medical Technology Education Centre (26a Anniņmuiža bulvāris), located under the roof of the main entrance.
Cycling routes and bike rentals
Public transport
RSU buildings are easily accessible by public transport. Several bus, tram, and trolleybus routes connect the main Dzirciems campus, research institutes, and student hostels with other parts of Riga.
