For Students

The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department invites students to become mentors for first semester international students who will be starting their studies at RSU in February 2026.

The aim of the Mentor Programme is to help international students integrate into the University and society, and to support new students as they begin their studies at RSU.

Mentoring offers a great opportunity for students to build contacts and make friends with people from different countries, learn about other cultures, and broaden their horizons. Each mentor will be paired with another mentor and will work in team with about 2 to 5 incoming international students.

A mentor is an advisor who provides newly-enrolled international students with insight into university life, can explain the study process and academic requirements, and offer practical advice on everyday matters. Mentors encourage new students, help them settle into their new home, and overcome any fears or concerns.

To prepare for the Mentor Programme, new mentors  are welcome to attend a mentor workshop on 27 November at 16:00 on-site (16 Dzirciema iela, Block A, Room 301) or on 4 December at 16:00 online (Zoom).
For more information, please contact internationalatrsu[pnkts]lv or approach us during the workshop.
