Rsearchers from RSU Receive Funding from the Research and Education Programme

The State Education Development Agency (VIAA) has approved five projects submitted by Latvian universities to the European Economic Area and Norway Grants (EEA/N) programme Research and Education Scholarship Activity. Among the beneficiaries of the funding for mobility of students, academic and administrative staff is the project “Promotion of healthy ageing, welfare and social security” that was submitted by researchers from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Statistics Unit.
The aim of the project is to study and develop topics on healthy ageing, welfare, and social security. It will be carried out by researchers of the Statistics Unit and the Institute of Public Health under supervision by the leading researcher Dr.Med. Ieva Reine in cooperation with the University of Iceland and the University of Liechtenstein. The project administrator is Ivars Baltus. The implementation time is from September 2021 to 30 April 2024, with the approved cost of 85,385 EUR.
